maxim — order a taxi & food

What the app does

maxim — order a taxi & food combines ride booking with food and delivery services. It is aimed at people who want one app for getting around town and arranging items to be brought to them. Depending on local availability, orders can include passenger trips, courier work, food delivery and transport for larger loads.

Services to check

• Request a taxi and see the quoted fare before confirming the trip.
• Choose from different transport options, which may include cars, minivans, buses or freight vehicles.
• Arrange food delivery or ask a courier to collect and bring selected goods.
• Use trip-location sharing to let another person follow the journey.

Who it may suit

This app may be useful on a shared phone for someone who regularly needs local transport as well as delivery help. Families may also find location sharing useful when keeping track of a passenger’s trip. The range of services can make the app more involved than a taxi-only tool, so a first-time user may need to review the available order types carefully.
